Dr. Will Caster is the world’s leading authority on artificial intelligence and his one main goal is to create a sentient machine within himself. Upon succeeding his quest for power begins and his loved ones are forced to face the fact that he might be unstoppable. Transcendence is a fantastic movie that is one of my absolute favorites from the Top 10 best cyberpunk movies of the decade on Prime Video.

This adaptation of the infamous anime brings the cyberpunk classics to life. Taking on tropes that made blade runner a classic among fans ghost in the shell is a perfect blending of action sci-fi spectacle and philosophical questions about the definition of life and being human because when your body is made of metal it is what’s inside that defines you.

 Tron Legacy is one of the science fiction action best cyberpunk movies. Directed by Joseph Krasinski and stars Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, and Michael Sheen. Continuing the visually groundbreaking 1982 original with stylish and daring special effects and even greater action, Tron follows young naive Sam. Haunted by the sudden disappearance of his father a mysterious riddle leads him into a game of life and death a virtual world that is not only pure magnificence but a hyper-advanced terror machine one must escape from.

Real Steel is one of the science fiction sports drama best cyberpunk movies that is directed by Sean Levy and stars Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lily, and Anthony Mackie. This epic boxing movie reimagines the old formula with jaw-dropping special effects and visually visionary ideas. In the Future, boxing tournaments aren’t fought by people but by gigantic robots controlled by them. Wannabe star and outsider Charlie is far from the game but with a little trust in an old and chunky robot, he may win back his family’s love.

In a society run by the insane, he is the brutal force that punishes the wicked but when he’s locked up in a high-security tower run by the underworld’s most powerful crime boss it’s a war of one against a thousand machine guns.

Alita battle angel is a 2019 action cyberpunk movie directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron. It stars Rosa Salazar, Christophe Waltz, Jennifer Connolly, and Mahershala Ali. In 2563 Dr. Dyson discovers a deactivated cyborg with a living human brain and decides to revive her by attaching the brain to a new cyborg body. The robot Alita wakes up to find she has no memories of her past life she must now go on a quest to find her true self to finally fulfill her destiny. Alita: Battle Angel 2019 is a fabulous cyberpunk movie out of the Top 10 best cyberpunk movies of the decade on Prime Video and one of my favorite.

• Looper 2012

Looper is a science fiction action cyberpunk movie written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Emily Blunt. This true modern sci-fi gem proves itself in shining through its clever twists and deep character arcs. In the not-too-distant future, gangs utilize time machines to send people they wish to die back in time, where assassins in the past are paid to kill them, but when the time comes, the assassins are removed from the game until one of them refuses to die.

• Rating: 7.5/10

Upgrade is one of the action body horror best cyberpunk movies. Written and directed by Leigh Whannell and stars Logan Marshall-Green, Betty Gabriel, and Harrison Gilbertson. The plot is set in the near future and follows a grey trace, a stay-at-home mechanic whose life is turned upside down when he is paralyzed following a mugging, but he is offered a chip implant that would allow him to walk again his only option for vengeance. He accepts the offer with some hesitation but quickly finds that it is not as simple as it appears.

Inception tells the story of dom cobb a professional thief who steals secrets for a living by using a dream infiltrating technology. Dom must complete a task to plant an idea in the brain of a CEO and return to the real world before he is drawn into the dream world permanently. This is one of the best science-fiction best cyberpunk movies, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, and Tom Hardy is considered one of the best films of the twenty-first century. Inception is a fabulous Feel Good cyberpunk Movie out of the Top 10 best cyberpunk movies of the decade on Prime Video and one of my favorite.

Officer K understands as he puts the puzzle pieces together that retired blade runner Rick Deckard is the missing link in this story. Is Kay going to be able to uncover the truth?
